Portrets with a mask made on polaroid camera and emultion manipulated, then enlarged and printed 50×50cm and mounted on aluminium. About 40 prints in this work. Can be showen as big prints together with original polaroids as well.

In this work i was interested in two things: interaction of photographed objects and the media of the film, it`s was some alike catching person from his space and putting him onto the backgound of the media, inside, releasing the form with it`s beautiful craquelures and so on.
On the other hand, i was also interested in interaction of a person and a mask. Hiding behind the mask one can relax and he opens himself more then during usual portreting, releasing from personal mask, being hide behind a real mask, showing his nature in a way, it was even kind of surprise for me that persons on this polaroids was recognizable and not in the way of looking, but sens. So it cooperates with on of the main intentions of my art – descovering human normality.

The project was exhibited at National Center of Photography at Saint-Petersburg in 2006 and published in “Foto&Video” magazine (5/2006).
